This unique Barn Door style features a lightly distressed finish on the usual Barn Door design, lending a feel of the ‘Old West’. Called “Dark” Oak due to its golden variations, this finish has an almost honey-like hue, which adds a calming, sunset tone to any space.
Recommendations for installation: 1) Purchase a door at least two inches wider and no shorter than the door opening you intend to cover 2) If mounting sliding barn door hardware, allow a minimum of 5 inches between ceiling and top of the door opening 3) If mounting sliding barn door hardware to drywall, a one-inch thick header board is recommended. All sliding barn doors come fully assembled although sliding barn door hardware itself requires some assembly and installation.
