A lighter product with a thickness of only 1 3/8 inches, this door design features simple vertical pieces and a tradition exterior frame. With a light diagonal cross piece for strength, this door design is one of our most popular. The Dark Walnut color of this Barn Door lends the warm, heavy feel of a library or office, while the clean edges evoke “smart”.
Recommendations for installation: 1) Purchase a door at least two inches wider and no shorter than the door opening you intend to cover 2) If mounting sliding barn door hardware, allow a minimum of 5 inches between ceiling and top of the door opening 3) If mounting sliding barn door hardware to drywall, a one-inch thick header board is recommended. All sliding barn doors come fully assembled although sliding barn door hardware itself requires some assembly and installation.
